The comet has passed closest approach to the Sun and is now heading outward again. This is a combination of 4X120sec exposures taken with a Genesis Refractor f/5.0 with Starlight SX CCD-camera. A faint tail is visible. The comet was 1.52 AU from Earth and 0.977 AU from the Sun.

I have no fixed observatory but my car. To make pictures I often drive
onto the next mountain (12min, 750m a.s.l. or 17min, 840m a.s.l.)
To make good color pictures from comets (Hyakutake or Hale-Bopp) with
the Schmidt-camera, I drive to the Swiss or Austrian mountains, up to 2000-
3000m. At this altitude the sky is very dark and clear.
